Marketing Strategy for B2B SaaS Enterprise Salesforce ISV and Consulting Solutions
As I joined VRP Consulting, a Salesforce Consulting and ISV partner as Regional Marketing Director, the company was primarily perceived in the market as a legacy development outsourcing provider. To compete at a higher level, the business urgently needed to penetrate the complex European and US enterprise markets and reposition itself as a credible, premium Salesforce Platinum Consulting Partner. Achieving this required a complete corporate image transformation, a modernised digital presence, and a highly scalable demand generation engine capable of engaging global enterprise clients.

The Context & Challenge
The challenge was multi-layered: not only did we need to overhaul our brand messaging and digital ecosystem, but we also had to bridge significant East-versus-West cultural differences to align workforces with Western market expectations. Furthermore, this entire transformational roadmap had to be executed and scaled while navigating the unprecedented global disruptions brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic. During this transformation I was promoted to Global Marketing Director.
My Strategy & Execution
To drive this transformation, I stepped in as a C-level advisor on market penetration and spearheaded a comprehensive strategy across brand, operations, and team culture. My execution plan focused on the following core pillars:
• Brand & Digital Transformation: I championed a full-scale corporate rebrand and redeveloped the website into a dynamic, interactive global-market asset. I ensured the new digital infrastructure was fully integrated with Salesforce Sales Cloud to accurately capture and track our growing pipeline.
• Remodeling Demand Generation: I overhauled the lead generation process by implementing targeted Account-Based Marketing (ABM) strategies alongside integrated PR, online ads, and sponsored events. This full-funnel approach was heavily data-driven, providing the C-suite with real-time ROI and KPI visibility.
• Strategic Ecosystem Development: I actively amplified our alliances with Salesforce.com and Salesforce.org, positioning VRP alongside strategic ecosystem partners. I also directed the marketing launch of 8 new products (both free and paid) on the Salesforce AppExchange to accelerate market expansion.
• Marketing Automation & Process Reengineering: To enable my team to scale their output, I harnessed a robust automation stack (Zoominfo, LinkedIn Navigator, and Sales Cloud). This streamlined workflows and slashed administrative burdens across both sales and marketing teams.
• Transformational Team & Cultural Leadership: I built, mentored, and empowered a cross-regional team of 12 marketing professionals and 8 Dotted line reports. I designed a company-wide employee engagement program to foster ambassadorship and bridge cultural gaps. During the height of the pandemic, I led a specialized 'Disaster Recovery Team' crisis management campaign to maintain stability and momentum.
• Purpose-Driven Marketing (CSR): I kickstarted a global sustainability initiative tied to client projects, embedding social impact into our brand story.
